A boulder on the beach, smoothed by countless tides. I was captivated by the seams of a different material (Quartz?) running through it, shining with accents of gold. Almost metallic, textured and slightly proud. Smudges of darker grey, as if someone had rubbed charcoal across the surface, and fine lines of ochre snaked across the stone. I was entranced and knew I had to create my own art in response.
